Many of our kit checklists are provided at several price points. The budget kits are designed to be the absolute minimum recommended items to allow you to put your kit together quickly and with items you may already have on hand. Budget kits are the "Gotta throw something together now" kits. Each progressive kit in a category builds upon the kit at the previous price point. Therfore, if you start with the budget kit, you simply add additonal items to it to reach the standard kit, and so forth. Further, the items in each checklist have been selected to maximize utility, redundancy and reliability. In some cases, a piece of technology has been selected to increase utility and make a particular job easier. In other cases, field-proven methods and items have been selected due to their hassle-free reliability.
